What to place next to what in your garden

  • corn (kukuruz), beans or onions next to zuchini (tikvica)
  • carrot and onions
  • red biet and onions
  • lettuce and onions
  • peppers and onions
  • white cabbage and onions
  • tomatoes and carrots
  • tomatoes and basil
  • parsley and tomato
  • Tagetes patula with broccoli, lettuce or prei
  • selderij met stambonen, tomato or carrots
  • Tagetes patula next to carrots
  • salie next to beans
  • bonenkruid bij bonen weert bladluis
  • dille tussen carrots (weert wortelvlieg)
  • calendula naast erwten, tomato, augurk of rode biet

 

Don't place your lettuce (selena salata) next to parsley (persin). They will both be wasted because of the toxics they give each other.
Don't place garlic or cabbage next to strawberries, or onions next to beans, and do not let your pumpkins grow towards potatoes.

You can place your lettuce between the beans to save space.

Cabbage can only be planted once in 4 years on the same spot, to prevent illness.
